OK, that may seem like an odd headline, but we mean it.  The good people at The Andersons have a contest under way during the month of December which could benefit the families of many kids with serious illnesses at Toledo Children’s Hospital

The centerpiece of Danberry’s charitable efforts is an emergency assistance fund at the hospital called The Danberry Treasure Chest.  This is an invaluable lifeline for some families with children struggling with chronic illnesses while they struggle with financial issues.  That’s where you can help us by selecting our private label wine for your holiday entertaining as well as gifts!

Please print this flyer  and stock up for the holidays.  4 varieties are available as well as case discounts, and they make great gifts as you visit friends and relatives. They will be found on a special display in the wine department of each Andersons store, or ask for it by name.  The Andersons also makes a contribution to the fund for the equivalent of every bottle purchased.

What could be an easier way to support the neediest of kids?  Thanks in advance for your help, and Cheers!

On Thursday, September 23 the Danberry Briarfield office hosted a miniature golf outing at the Maumee Sports Mall to raise funds for The Danberry Treasure Chest. The teams were treated to dinner and drinks as they putted their way through the 18 hole course. Prizes were awarded to the winning foursome, the last place foursome and the player with the most hole-in-one shots. The organizers were also kind enough to provide prizes for all the kids that played!

On Saturday Danberry’s Oregon branch organized a fundraiser at The Crazy Lady Saloon in Curtice, Ohio to raise funds for The Danberry Treasure Chest. Funds donated came from 1/2 of every pizza sale, tips from the bar, 50/50 and prize raffle tickets. A huge thanks goes to Kelsey Hall and Melissa Domanowski, the organizers of the event. Besides planning and organizing, they gave their entire day up to be there and help!

Thanks to Melissa and Kelsey for all of their hard work!
